A vibrant community, caring teachers and staff, and students grounded in the teachings of Jesus and the love of God have made SYVCA a special place since its inception in 1981. Our school’s aim is to be an oasis for growth and learning, encouraging us all how to be in the world, yet not conformed to the world (Rom. 12:2).

We define ourselves through our purposefully-chosen name:

Santa Ynez Valley: We are called to be a shining light to all in this valley, with impacts that reach far beyond.

Christian: We are delighted to teach from a Biblical worldview, spreading the truth of Jesus as students delve into academics and navigate school and life in social constructs. The Word of God guides us, and our Statement of Faith was derived from His Word. Students have daily Bible instruction, we have weekly Friday Chapels and morning Prayer at the Cross, and staff prays for students and over the classrooms before the day begins.

Academy: Academics are inherently woven into our mission. We are committed to delivering a rigorous curriculum with high expectations in biblical knowledge, application, and apologetics; mathematics; reading and literature; grammar and writing; history and geography; the physical, earth, and life sciences; and physical education (P.E.), Library, art, and music.

While working through these many academics, we get to love on one another and have fun in the process through many projects, performances, and traditions.

If you are a former or returning family, we can’t wait to see you this year. If you are a prospective family, I welcome you to learn more about the school through our admissions page or by contacting us personally.

I leave you with Psalm 139, verses 13 and 14: “For you created my innermost parts; you wove me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to You, because I am awesomely and wonderfully made; wonderful are Your works, and my soul knows it very well.” (NASB20) At SYVCA, we hold every child as God’s amazing creation, each a distinct soul which parents are entrusting to us daily. Thank you for that trust, and I look forward to being part of your child’s educational journey.
