The Santa Ynez Valley Christian Academy's Board of Directors is a group of committed individuals who meet on a regular basis to help guide and shape our school. The Board of Directors meets monthly. If you have any questions, concerns or praises please feel free to contact the School Office. They will report all messages to the Board.

JOEL JACKS

Joel graduated from The Master’s College in 1992 with a degree in Biblical Studies and Youth Ministry. His early work in churches began in youth ministry before transitioning into worship leadership. Professionally, his career has included work in the music industry as well as his family business, where he renovated and managed hotels, rental properties, and the family ranch. Today, he spends much of his time producing music with artists in his studio.

Joel and his family have been connected to Santa Ynez Valley Christian Academy for more than 25 years. He has three adult children who all attended SYVCA and two younger children, one of whom attends the Academy, and their youngest is looking forward to joining the SYVCA family when she is old enough for TK! Joel now serves as Board Chair, continuing his family’s longstanding connection to and support of the school.

What Joel values most about SYVCA is its commitment to Biblical truth and its intentional focus on leading children and families toward Christ. In a world that increasingly pulls children away from Biblical truth, he is grateful for a school community where God’s love is intentionally shared and faith is woven into every aspect of a child’s education.

Outside of his work and involvement with SYVCA, Joel enjoys creating music, restoring things, cooking a mean breakfast, and spending time with his wife, family, and friends. He especially values meaningful connection and a good conversation.

SAM KISER

Sam Kiser is the Lead Pastor of Crossroads, a multi-site church located on the Central Coast. He has been preaching Jesus for more than 16 years. He has a Bachelor’s of Science in Biblical and Theological Studies from Liberty University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. Sam and his wife Sarah Dawn grew up in Kentucky and were married in 2010. They have 3 young boys and one sweet, little girl.

CURT FIORE

Curt and his wife, Kelly, have raised their three boys in the Santa Ynez Valley since 2012 and were fortunate to call the SYVCA home beginning in 2020. Growing up in Southern California and graduating from Loyola Marymount University with a degree in business, Curt has worked in the cardiovascular healthcare industry for over 20 years. When not at school, church, or a grocery store, the Fiores will be on a Soccer or Baseball field, a Golf Course, a Basketball or Tennis court, a hiking trail, a beach, or a snow-covered mountain.

BILL MALLOY

Bill and his wife Pam have lived in the Santa Ynez Valley since 2006. They have two grown daughters (Sara, works for Marriott International, living in Washington, DC and Rebekah is a critical care nurse, living in Santa Ynez). Both Bill and Pam recently retired and have a strong desire to serve in this beautiful valley. Bill attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and graduated with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Atmospheric Sciences. Bill worked as an aerospace engineer for 42 years. His work took him to various locations across the country to live including Los Angeles, Colorado Springs, Philadelphia, Washington, DC and Goleta. He has faithfully served as an elder, Children’s Sunday School superintendent and teacher for many years. Bill has a passion that children grow up with an intimate knowledge and relationship with Christ. He believes that the Christian Academy provides the education and relationships that allow for our children to grow in Christ. Bill and Pam enjoy traveling around the world. Bill loves to hike and his absolute favorite place is at the Grand Canyon! Bill and Pam attend Valley Christian Fellowship.

TRENT STADHEIM

Trent and his wife, Anna have two boys Landen and Larsen. Both Anna and Trent have been active members in the community since 2016 volunteering their time at SYVCA, Coastlands Church, Pony League Baseball, AYSO, etc. Trent grew up in South Dakota working on the family farm and at his father’s factory. Trent spent several years in the Army Guard as a machinist and then later became a Space Systems operator in the Air Force. Trent Graduated from South Dakota State University with a degree in Manufacturing Engineering and then went on to receive a Masters in Business Administration. Trent has worked in the defense industry for over 20 years and is currently employed as a program manager at Raytheon.

JOHN HILL

John graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1986 with a BA in Business Economics. He worked in a local Santa Barbara firm in public accounting, gaining experience for 11 years. Then, he started his own Santa Ynez Valley practice in 1997. John and his wife, Allison, have been married for over 38 years and have four children and six grandchildren.

ANDY TRABUCCO

Andy and his wife, Robin have been married for over 46 years and have lived in the Santa Ynez Valley since 2004. Andy & Robin have two married children and four awesome grandchildren; one has attended SYVCA for almost two years and another will hopefully be attending next year. Andy has recently retired from owning and operating several companies over the past 45 years. Andy is passionate about family, encouraging men, flyfishing and painting.
