2019 ROBOTICS AT SYVCA

Our robotics team competed in the LA Regional Qualifier with 18 other teams on the Central Coast. They received 1st place in project for their design of the D-Litter Critter, which they will present before the city of Solvang Public Works Director in November, 2019. The team also ranked high in the category of core values and were given 1 of 4 invitations to the World Qualifier for the LA region on December 14, 2019. These students have been working very hard, and they are learning so much more than programming a robot. They have designed a robot prototype that will not only pick up litter in downtown Solvang, but it will even take your picture in front of the famous downtown windmill. They wrote their own skit and presentation, designed their own T-shirts, created a brochure, and learned great team building skills along the way. We are very proud of each of their contributions to the team, and we thank God for the opportunity to see them use their gifts with which He has blessed them. We give all Glory to God!
