Curt and his wife, Kelly, have raised their three boys in the Santa Ynez Valley since 2012 and were fortunate to call the SYVCA home beginning in 2020. Growing up in Southern California and graduating from Loyola Marymount University with a degree in business, Curt has worked in the cardiovascular healthcare industry for over 20 years. When not at school, church, or a grocery store, the Fiores will be on a Soccer or Baseball field, a Golf Course, a Basketball or Tennis court, a hiking trail, a beach, or a snow-covered mountain.

Bill and his wife Pam have lived in the Santa Ynez Valley since 2006. They have two grown daughters (Sara, works for Marriott International, living in Washington, DC and Rebekah is a critical care nurse, living in Los Angeles). Both Bill and Pam recently retired and have a strong desire to serve in this beautiful valley. Bill attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and graduated with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Atmospheric Sciences.  Bill worked as an aerospace engineer for 42 years.  His work took him to various locations across the country to live including Los Angeles, Colorado Springs, Philadelphia, Washington, DC and Goleta. He has faithfully served as an elder, Children’s Sunday School superintendent and teacher for many years.  Bill has a passion that children grow up with an intimate knowledge and relationship with Christ. He believes that the Christian Academy provides the education and relationships that allow for our children to grow in Christ. Bill and Pam enjoy traveling around the world. Bill loves to hike and his absolute favorite place is at the Grand Canyon! Bill and Pam attend Valley Christian Fellowship.

Kai, his wife Taylor and 4 children live in Solvang. Kai grew up in Haleiwa, Hawaii and moved to Santa Barbara in 2009 where he met Taylor, and they were married the following year. After being married, Taylor and Kai moved back to Hawaii where they led a youth group in Kai’s hometown. They moved to Santa Ynez after the birth of their first son to be closer to family. Kai owns his own local electrical and solar business, Henderson Electric. The Henderson family enjoys spending time at the beach, road trips, and going back to Hawaii as often as possible.

Cheri and her husband Jamie live in Solvang along with their son, John, who will be attending Kindergarten at Christian Academy. Cheri moved to the Valley from Arroyo Grande in 2013. After commuting for over a year and encouraged by her husband, Cheri launched her own boutique accounting office here in the Valley in 2015. Cheri has over 20 years experience in bookkeeping, business management, payroll, and has been a licensed tax preparer since 2014. The Glimps love to travel in their RV, host BBQs, Tide Pool explore, and generally can be found celebrating every day of life, from the small things to the big things. There is joy always to be found. The Glimp family have been members of The Ranch Church since 2016. Cheri has a strong passion for child education, before being guided to accounting, her plan was to be a Kindergarten teacher. Cheri is honored to serve on the SYVCA Board, and to be a support role for the school, and to be a small part of something that is setting the strong foundation for all of our children’s futures.

Beth, her husband John, and their three children live in the Santa Ynez Valley and have been part of the Christian Academy family since 2018.  Beth grew up in the Central Valley of California and graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a degree in Agriculture Business in 2004.  In 2006, Beth began her career at a global software company headquartered in Santa Barbara and is currently a Director in Human Resources.  The Tinsley family enjoys camping, hiking, skilling and cheering for their children in their extra-curricular activities.  Beth and her family are active members at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church.

Sam Kiser is the Lead Pastor of Crossroads, a multi-site church located on the Central Coast. He has been preaching Jesus for more than 16 years. He has a Bachelor’s of Science in Biblical and Theological Studies from Liberty University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. Sam and his wife Sarah Dawn grew up in Kentucky and were married in 2010. They have 3 young boys and one sweet, little girl.
